Here is a patch that allows the user to set their preferred font size unit in the User preferences (Tools->Text->Text size unit) from px, pt, pc, mm, cm and in. The text toolbar and text dialog will then show the font sizes in the users preferred unit with the tooltip showing the unit. When text is modified or size changed, the font-size is converted from the units in the file to the users preferred units. letter-spacing and word-spacing remain in pixels. Internally pixels are still used for all calculations, only the file output and UI are shown the size units.
Please test if you can. Any ideas for changes ? ** Patch added: "168164.v1.patch" https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/168164/+attachment/3255330/+files/168164.v1.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/168164 Title: font sizes specified in pixels instead of points To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/168164/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
