I'm sorry John, I didn't mean to offend any of the contributors that dedicate 
their time. You're right, it's easy to stand aside and comment.
My comments were out of frustration and aimed at management rather than to 
dedicated and hardworking contributors. What I was trying to say was that 
something is not working right at the higher level, i.e. what is the point of 
pushing release after release of only half-baked product. In my opinion it's 
counter productive. This bug and many others just demonstrate this. 
What I'm saying is not helpful, I agree. I'm not a developer but I have some 
experience in s/w development project management as part of my job. After 
spending a few years with ubuntu as a user, I regret to realise that it lacks 
direction and attitude that is so much needed, especially if you are to compete 
in the OS market. 

I'm sincerely sorry if I offended anyone, it wasn't my intention.
