Generally speaking, Windows binary files will not run under Linux (this isn't
entirely true but this is a good enough explanation for now).
This is more of a support issue ("How do I fix my low resolution") and
may have been better asked over on https://answers.launchpad.net/
(especially if the following sounds too technical) . However since
you're here can you indicate whether the information linked from
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/Nvidia helps you to
solve your problem (please make a copy of /etc/X11/xorg.conf before
attempting any steps)...
