I've just installed upstream kernel. The "uname -a" reports "3.2.27-030227-generic #201208101235". WiFi works! As far as I understand, this is a kernel from Ubuntu 12.04, but it works in Ubuntu 11.10
I also tested kernel "linux-headers-3.0.0-24-generic" and WiFi also works. ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing ** Tags added: kernel-fixed-upstream -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1018116 Title: 8086:4222 WiFi (Intel 3945ABG) does not work on Sony Vaio (VGN-FZ31SR) with Ubuntu 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1018116/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
