I was able to work normally during that session, however when shutting down
using the quit button, nothing happened and at that point all the
actions on the top panel would not respond. Quit using Ctl + Alt + F1 and
shutdown.
On startup this morning, gnome took a long time to start. The other users on
this system are able to operate normally without problems.
Is it possible that my gnome config files are corrupt?

Regards
Brian
