Public bug reported:

I'm not sure if meta-gnome3 is the right package it was the default one
in the box.

My Overview started acting up a little while back, where it will, when
starting an application, sometimes open the Overview and stay in that
until an application is clicked.

The bug, I think, is that an application will be displayed halfway
across the current workspace and the one above. The other issue is that
this will, when closing the Overview to go into the application, not
close the Overview properly and I can no longer use my machine, a
restart is required.

This only seems to happen when you try to open an application on a
second workspace, or further on (third, forth, etc...) that is empty,
and the application has a splash screen.

I've asked this question here
http://askubuntu.com/questions/173331/gnome-3-overview-misbehaving and
was told to file a bug report.

To re-create:
1. Login
2. Open application
3. Move to new workspace
4. Open another application with splash screen

In the attached image the application (NetBeans) on the left caused it
to happen.
