I did a module blocklist to stop bluetooth and btusb from loading, because I was suspicious that was related due the messages I saw when running pm-suspend. However that did not fix it, after that pm-suspend would lock the machine up with max load without putting out any messages.
Then I tried the suggestion from Joseph Salisbury in #3 and installed the packages: linux-headers-3.6.0-030600rc1_3.6.0-030600rc1.201208022056_all.deb linux-image-3.6.0-030600rc1-generic_3.6.0-030600rc1.201208022056_amd64.deb linux-image-extra-3.6.0-030600rc1-generic_3.6.0-030600rc1.201208022056_amd64.deb linux-headers-3.6.0-030600rc1-generic_3.6.0-030600rc1.201208022056_amd64.deb This did fix it ! However I also experienced an X crash shortly afterwards that may or may not be related, I'll report that separately if it can be replicated. On installing the linux-headers-3.6.0-030600rc1-generic there was an error about my libc6 not being a high enough version, but everything seems to have worked. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1035178 Title: Lockup with CPU hot when lid is closed on Lenovo T510 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1035178/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
