Public bug reported: I don`t know where the bug is fore sure, but I have had the same issue on at least three different computers. It is not related to 12.04 nor powerpc exclusively. When gnome mplayer plays any video or dvd the frame can go black (picture disappears). It happens regularly especially when changing size of window or choosing full screen. Film or video still runs fine with sound and picture does reappear if I keep chaning window size or full screen modus. I have had the same gnome mplayer setup in puppy liunx too and it has been all stable there, not so in lubuntu. I hope there is a fix for it, gnome mplayer is very good and is usually great with gecko and flash video replacer (at least on regular pc).
