I have SGS Thomson Microeletronics finger print reader in oldish Dell D630 and it started to work in 12.04 3.2.0-29-generic-pae even though the device was incorrectly identified by fprint: :~$ pam_fprint_enroll This program will enroll your finger, unconditionally overwriting any selected print that was enrolled previously.
