Public bug reported:
After today's Quantal update, the login screen is unusable. After a
reboot, I get what looks like it might be the normal login screen, and I
get the bongos, but then almost immediately the screen turns into the
old-style purple-and-orange background and all the fonts are super tiny.
Although very small, I'm able to find the reboot button, but other than
that I cannot log into the desktop.
This is running in a VMware Fusion 4.1 virtual machine, but everything
worked before today's reboot. I am going to try rebooting one of my
native machines to see if the same problem occurs.
