As an intermediate step, according to this page https://help.ubuntu.com/community/VMware/Tools I installed the open-vm- tools package. That seemed to go okay, but it still doesn't look like I'm using 3D:
grep -i open /tmp/glxinfo.txt OpenGL vendor string: VMware, Inc. OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe (LLVM 0x300) OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 8.0.4 OpenGL shading language version string: 1.20 OpenGL extensions: and indeed I'm still getting the window corruption. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1039157 Title: X problems in Fusion guest To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-vmware/+bug/1039157/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
