Filed against kernel because this is due to the LIve CD environment.
First, I am unable to boot the live CD at all on my S-10 for Quantal
without using nomodeset. After using nomodeset, the live CD boots and I
get into the desktop. Once there, the touchpad does not work and the
launcher continuously opens (accessed via the Super key), and I am
unable to actually use the system at all.
I was hoping to test Quantal on this system and see if the 3D only Unity
works, but I am unable to even get to the installation part with the
standard desktop live CD.
FWIW, I'm using the current daily-live as of 21 August 2012.
