This bug is essentially this: the Boinc package in the 12.04 Ubuntu repository doesn't work for seti@home, it produces "computation errors."
This is still the case. It does NOT matter what the underlying issue is. The suggested fix, update it to 7.0.27, was implemented and still does not completely fix the bug, which is that it produces computation errors. Just because the fix that was suggested, implemented and released did not completely fix the problem, does not somehow transform this into a different bug. It just means that the fix did not completely address the root cause(s). Creating different bugs for different causes is just needless duplication of effort.
