There is already a PPA with heimdall packages -- https://launchpad.net
/~heimdall-packagers/+archive/heimdall/+packages . But they are being
built only for i386 and amd64.

There .deb packages in the upstream project -- https://github.com
/Benjamin-Dobell/Heimdall/downloads . But again only for i386 (and amd64
for older versions).

In my case (http://android.stackexchange.com/q/28025/13117 ), I'd be
glad if I could simply "apt-get install heimdall" in my Ubuntu 12.04 for
Toshiba AC100 (ARM). Unfortunately, there are no pre-built packages
compiled for ARM.
