Public bug reported: Hello everyone,
First - see AskUbuntu issue here, to clarify the details: http://askubuntu.com/questions/171623/how-to-configure-1440x900-on-two- monitors-in-mirror-displays In short, i bought a new computer for my Mom: Processor : 4x Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3450 CPU @ 3.10GHz Memory : 3943MB (1228MB used) Operating System : Ubuntu 12.04 LTS -Resolution : 1024x768 pixels -OpenGL Renderer : Mesa DRI Intel(R) Ivybridge Desktop X11 Vendor : The X.Org Foundation Genius Multimedia Keyboard ImPS/2 Generic Wheel Mouse Venus USB2.0 Camera The computer is connected via DVI into a 19" screen and via HDMI into a 26" HDTV. Within 'Displays' i chose to mirror displays with a 1440x900 resolution. But whenever i tried, Ubuntu fails to do so. It's a driver issue - since within the same PC under Windows 7, it works. Not only that, after the attempt, the computer get really slow until i'll reboot or eventually get a kernel panic. cheers, Uri ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: kernel-bug precise -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1039925 Title: [12.04 LTS] cannot configure 1440x900 mirror display although optional To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1039925/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
