Your model has always been in the whitelist for the samsung_laptop driver:

That would indicate that you've had this flickering bug prior to commit
9a2e71ce
If you boot the 3.2.0-26.41 kernel, do you still have the flickering
issue? If so, it's best to open a new bug, so we can address it
separately.
