The full output of 'ifconfig -a' will be helpful in determining which interface name is being using for your ndiswrapper device as it will show all the interfaces available to your system. Additionally it would be interesting to see what happens if you change "auto lo wlan0" in your '/etc/network/interfaces' file to 2 separate lines "auto lo" and "auto wlan0" or "auto eth1".
