"immediately after installing the lens", without logging out or restarting Unity? Unity doesn't automatically displays new lenses, it needs to be restarted.
Nevertheless, nothing specific to do to return to the first state of the lens, it doesn't store any configuration (except a backup of Shotwell database in ~/.cache/unity-lens-photos).
