@Steve: I agree that this report doesn't indicate a bug in resolvconf but I have one remaining question. How did progre55 end up with an old /lib/init/upstart-job on a system that supposedly has upstart 1.5-0ubuntu7? How sure can we be that nothing is wrong with the EC2 images and tools?
P.S. I earlier (#18) asked "Should resolvconf have a versioned dependency on upstart?". That was a dumb question because such a dependency wouldn't prevent what happened to progre55, whose machine has an up-to-date upstart package. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1041234 Title: Upgrade of resolvconf from 1.63ubuntu* to 1.63ubuntu15 fails: start: Job failed to start To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/resolvconf/+bug/1041234/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
