Hi Till, I have not had any issues except once last week. The printer took the job. It awoke from power save mode, but then just quit thinking it had printed the job. But this happened only once. I turned it off and back on and it was fine. I did have an issue with the same printer (Samsung ML-1710) when printing a single page LibreOffice 3.6.1.2document that I wanted 3 copies of. It would only print one at a time. I haven't had time to research it yet, but I think it is a LibreOffice issue with that version.
