Public bug reported:

Hi,

I just upgraded from ubuntu 10.04 to 12.04.1
My perfectly working Samsung laser printer does not print in 12.04.

Printer powers on normally, green light comes on.

When you print something it is sent to Cups, but it will not come out of the
printer. There seems no communcation to the printer.
However, the print job will be visible in the print queue, the job will have
status 'Stopped'

command lsusb:
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 04e8:3292 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd ML-1640 Series
Laser Printer
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 04e8:1f03 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd

The second Samsung device is a HDD. Removing this HDD does not make a
difference.

Switching to Windows XP allows me to print perfectly.

Any clues?
