It isn't particularly clear why you think this needs an SRU. "There's a
new version, because things have changed" isn't a reason, unless it's
qualified.

Have you read the SRU criteria?

Is there something that no longer works? If so please say what that is, and how 
serious it is that it doesn't work.
Are there useful new features? If so, maybe a backport would be more 
appropriate.
