This is a quick, but not particularly elegant, workaround: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=175&t=89358.
Here is a transcript of the solution given in the video on the forum linked in case the link goes dead: 1. Open /usr/share/applications as administrator. 2. Delete the desired icon, in this case gnumeric. NOTE: This solution is permanent, the icon will not return if you reinstall the application. Make a copy of the icon in a dedicated folder, 'deleted menu items' for example, as a backup. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1029426 Title: gnumeric menu entry remains in xfce application menu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnumeric/+bug/1029426/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
