jonesmz, Always use gksu or gksudo for GTK apps or apps with a UI, and sudo for CLIs (Apps run from the command line). And if you know what bug apport was trying to report in the firs place, simply press Alt + F2, or open a terminal, and type 'ubuntu-bug gedit', or whatever package you would like to file a bug against.
