This bug persists in Ubuntu 12.04.1. I cannot state an algorithm that will definitely lead to the message which tells that I have exceeded some 1400 odd seconds of inactivity. It sometimes appears and at other times not. I do not know yet on what factors that depends. A first impression is that I have to leave this window and return back to it.
