The T21 has Edgy, and suspend works fine on it. Except that one must press the Fn key to wake it up. The T22 with Dapper is still unable to suspend or hibernate, and it doesn't react to the Fn key or any combination when suspended.
T21 does hibernate too, with the exception that the built-in 3com network interface (3c556B with 3c59x module) does not work after that. Removing and reloading the module will not help. When suspending, this does not occur, and the interface works as expected after the machine is woken up. I think this has partially solved the problem for me. I will try Feisty to the T21 macine some day soon. I'll search Launchpad for bugs related to the network interface, and if not found, probably file one. The T22 will also be updated to Feisty if the T21 is seen to work flawlessly with it. -- Suspend / Hibernate broken (IBM Thinkpad T21) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/52638 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
