Public bug reported:

I upgraded from 6.10 to 7.04 and now got this behaviour. Every 10
minutes, something that seems to be a reconfiguration of eth0 is
initiated. It seems like it's all initiated by the avahi-daemon.

Very annoying since it's causing all my ssh sessions to stall for a
minute or two.

This is a snap from the logs of what happens:

I have no idea where 169.254.7.230 comes from.
192.168.2.12 is my DHCP / DNS server / firewall.
calzone is my hostname.
