Public bug reported:
evolution 3.2.3
uname -a
Linux frank 3.2.0-30-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Aug 24 16:52:48 UTC 2012 x86_64

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS
Release: 12.04
Codename: precise
User account is selected as IMAP in preferences.
When trying to create folder, none appears.
The following error message shows in the terminal:
(evolution:8415): evolution-mail-WARNING **: IMAP command failed: Invalid
mailbox name: MAILBOX_NAME
the folder is created on the server however
after changing mail type to IMAP+ the error message goes away
and the folder is created on the server
changing back to IMAP the error message never reappears
and the folder is created on the server
In none of these cases does the folder appear in the list of user
folders on the left side of the screen underneath the specific account.
When the user tries to create
the folder a second time (because the user doesn't see it nor get
any type of dialog) he/she gets an error message
saying that the folder already exists (which it does, but
the user doesn't see it in his/her list as the folder is unsubscribed)
The reason for the lack of appearance is because the folders are created
but not set to subscribed.
This confuses the user as it appears the folder was not created.
I would think the default should be that user created folders are
set to subscribed by default, so as not to confuse the user.
SO, there are two problems
1) the error message which the user would normally not see unless
he was running evolution from a terminal.
2) the failure to set new folders to 'subscribed' which causes
the user to think nothing happened in response to his/her
attempt to create a folder.
