Thanks, well based on what you report, pacmd runs correctly. Could you
then run this in the terminal and let me know what happens? (ideally if
you could attach the output that'd be best):
/usr/share/checkbox/scripts/audio_settings store
--file=/tmp/pulseaudio_settings
and then the *exact* command that's failing:
/usr/share/checkbox/scripts/audio_settings store
--file=/usr/share/checkbox/pulseaudio_settings
