After running firefox for a few minutes it starts to get very very slow.

After several hours it becomes essentially frozen.

Checking top I see Firefox and Compiz both high usage.  Firefox ~ 100%
and Compix ~24% (dual CPU 200% total)

Using Unity2D I do not have the problem.

I have only noticed this problem on Firefox.  All other apps seem to be
working OK.

I have reported this using ubuntu-bug that collected a lot of
information so I assume you have all the relevant version info.  If not
I can supply it.
