Since I started using Ubuntu in 2006, I've never had to use the memtest
option. I think memtest should be moved to the alternate Ubuntu options
menu. I believe it's conceptually more similar to the recovery options
or older kernels which have already been moved to that secondary menu.
This allows the main grub screen to focus on just giving you a choice of
OS's (or partitions) to boot.
