Boot stops at [17179570.556000] trying to setup timer as ExtINT IRQ...
with blank or corrupted screen.
2.6.15-26.46 boots OK with [17179569.184000] ATI board detected.
Disabling timer routing over 8254. It seems maybe 2.6.17 has lost the
patch for the ATI timer fix?
