Is this the problem with WINE and Ubuntu 12.04 because I have tried everything!! I tried to download all of the i386 libs (which causes a lot of 64 bit to be removed) and then I copied the libs in /lib32 and /usr/lib32 to /lib32/bak and /user/lib32/bak so I can restore all of the 64bit back to the system and copy the /bak contents into the /lib32 directories. This also did NOT work!
This is a tragic mess. Nixie Pixel and Valve leaders are actively promoting Ubuntu Linux gaming and here we have this huge mistake! We need this fixed ASAP!! Super high priority. Do you realize that this is the moment when a lot of MS Windows users will join Linux because of the possibility to game now? So this is a crucial time.
