What does "apt-cache policy libudev0:amd64 libudev0:i386" show? They
should both show the same available version.
Anyway, Ubuntu never supported smart as a package manager, and it has
never been tested with multiarch. I think Landscape moved from smart to
apt a while ago, are you using the latest client?
To fix this for you, perhaps you can try "sudo apt-get purge --auto-
remove libudev0:i386" and verify that this doesn't remove i386 packages
you deeply care about. If it does, you can re-install them after the
upgrade and apt-get install -f?
I'm closing the bug as this is not a bug in udev. We can continue
discussing how to fix your system here, of course.
