Public bug reported:

Until 4 September 2012 I could download programs using software centre. Now 
after selecting a program and clicking the install button, it for a second, 
changes from ¨Free¨ to ïnstalling¨ but then goes to ¨Free¨ again and nothing 
installs. I tried changing the source to ¨Australia¨ where I live, but still 
nothing works. Appreciate help.
