Ok i've found that upstart-job is a virtual package, so changing the report title. The choice now is either let apport not installed, or remove grub2.0 (that i does not want as i try to have the same grub for all the distro installed, aka multi OS & multi hdds)
** Summary changed: - Apport cant be reinstalled due to missing upstart-job + Apport cant be reinstalled after installing grub2.0 ** Description changed: Steps: - on Precise i386 i've installed grub2.0 from cjwatson ppa - grub2 refuse to upgrade without removing apport/apport-gtk/apport-hooks-medibuntu - so accepting the removal - trying to re-install these apport packages, that fail due to dependencie(s) - - glancing at apport dependecies, at least, upstart-job package is missing into Precise archives. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1052480 Title: Apport cant be reinstalled after installing grub2.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/1052480/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
