One way to know if you've gotten lucky: You can watch kern.log in gnome-system-log, "Log File Viewer", while unplugging and replugging the receiver. If you hit the jackpot you should see 2 lines for "logitech-djdevice", one that mentions "USB HID v1.11 Mouse" and another for "USB HID v1.11 Keyboard"
