I don't believe I've ever used middle-click to close tabs before you
mentioned it, so I wouldn't call it intuitive. It's not near as
documented as Ctrl+W is (which self-documents in traditional menus). And
it doesn't work for all tabbed interfaces: it fails in gedit, gnome-
terminal, nautilus, and epiphany-browser.
