Well, I worked around it. I restored it from google which I had been syncing to from evolution with syncevolution. the guy at scheduleworld helped me. I just had to delete the corrupt .ics and restart evolution. It then created a new .ics and i did a one way sync back to evolution. i lost all my meeting connections, but that's not a biggie.
The only thing is that we never figured out what corrupted the .ics in the first place... If it happens again, i'll update the bug.
