I've tested the latest build on the UX32A. This seems a bit more stable. I cold-booted after letting it stand overnight and it comes up fine. However, I did have issues last night on first install - it didn't get to a kernel panic with the caps lock light flashing, but the system didn't go to a black screen with a lockup. I did a grub rebuild in recovery and it has been good since. I will try another completely cold boot this afternoon when I can get back to the ASUS system.
