After some trace, I found the below default setting is cleared, so cause USB HID devices can't be used under runtime PM situations on precise. /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend The default setting from kernel is 2 seconds, but the value is changed to zero after booting or after each device is connected into system. IMO, the setting shouldn't be changed by kernel, but I don't know which package may cause the problem, so simply classify it to linux package, :-). + --- + ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu13 + Architecture: amd64 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" - Beta amd64 (20110413.1) + Package: linux (not installed) + ProcEnviron: + SHELL=/bin/bash + TERM=xterm + PATH=(custom, user) + LANG=en_US.UTF-8 + LANGUAGE=en_US:en + Tags: precise running-unity + Uname: Linux 3.6.0-rc6-custom+ x86_64 + UnreportableReason: The running kernel is not an Ubuntu kernel + UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to precise on 2011-09-16 (373 days ago) + UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout fuse libvirtd lpadmin plugdev sambashare -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1053186 Title: USB HID runtime PM can't be used To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1053186/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
