Tried again on Ubuntu 10.04 LIVE CD Same HW. ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ uname -a Linux ubuntu 2.6.32-33-generic #70-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jul 7 21:13:52 UTC 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Can you confirm that this points to HW problems in the camera? It's just kind of hard to believe that I've broken 2 cameras more or less the same way when trying to connect them to Linux, after they've been used for years on Windows environments. I might be able to test the camera with another computer at some point. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1045047 Title: Firewire camera is not recognized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1045047/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
