@Thomas Mashos: I mean that they mismanaged the announcement from the
beginning. They should have taken some time to consider how different
sections of their user base might react to their initial announcement
and, obviously, they either didn't or did a poor job of it.

Also, Shuttleworth has already written a reply blog post but it didn't
really answer the questions initially asked. To me, it just came across
as feel-good fluff and one of the comments meant to be reassuring
actually LOWERED my confidence in trusting them to manage my core apt
repositories.
