Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox
When firefox version 2.0.0.4+1-0ubuntu1 uses a helper application to open a file it doesn't honor the command line options specified in the helper applications .desktop file. For example, after installing nautilus-cd-burner, which installs a .desktop-file with the following lines: MimeType=application/x-cd-image; Exec=nautilus-cd-burner --source-iso=%f ..then trying to open a .iso file from the web with nautilus-cd-burner, nautilus-cd-burner is called with the filename as first argument, not with --source-iso <filename>. This is repeatable every time. However, after downloading, the file can be opened correctly by clicking the 'open' link in the download manager window. The same problem has been observed in the firefoxes in Fedora Core 6 and 7: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=246089 ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: firefox (Fedora) Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Bug watch added: Red Hat Bugzilla #246089 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=246089 ** Also affects: firefox (Fedora) via https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=246089 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- Firefox calls external helper application without options https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/123044 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
