Got this bug with Lubuntu amd64 daily 2012-09-23, written to usb hard disk with dd. Works with the same image, the same usb disk and Unetbootin.
Maybe linked in some way to BIOS behavior: with the hybrid ISO my BIOS (ASUS P8H67M-LE motherboard) displayed only one relevant entry in boot menu, "<hdd model>"; and with MBR, FAT32 and Unetbootin it displayed two, "<hdd model>" rebooted immediately and "EFI: <hdd model>" worked (I don't understand this; I use a traditional MBR on both disks, internal and USB; after installation in this manner I got grub-efi-amd64, it refused to work, just as expected, had to install grub-pc manually). Tried Ubuntu daily and Lubuntu Beta 1 with dd, they hanged in the same way. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1039446 Title: Install hangs at time zone selector To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1039446/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
