Public bug reported:
When Update Manager automatically checks for updates and finds them, it
does not update the Menu Bar to reflect that updates are available. The
Update Manager icon appears in Launcher and functions properly, however
Menu Bar continues to report status 'Software Up to Date'.
This conflicting update status displayed is not expected behavior.
