I've experienced this too, and it's particularly evident when I just
snatch away a desktop file from the file system without removing it from
the launcher first, and then later adding an icon with a similar (or the
same?) desktop file.
As Omer said, it's not a new bug. For now, it's confirmed while I search
for duplicates.
