As far as I can understand it, the original bug was about untranslated strings in the UI, not those within the embedded terminal. I too don't think it's too important to localize the terminal output in this case, and that the focus should rather be to get the UI fully translatable. I think the confusion might have come from the change of title in comment #23. I'll change it back to the original. -- David Planella Ubuntu Translations Coordinator www.ubuntu.com / www.davidplanella.wordpress.com www.identi.ca/dplanella / www.twitter.com/dplanella ** Summary changed: - Installer does not set locale in the embedded terminal, resulting in "untranslated" strings visible to the user. + Untranslatable messages in the installer -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/644736 Title: Untranslatable messages in the installer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/+bug/644736/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
