Public bug reported:

The internal SD card reader of my Dell Vostro 1310 laptop does not
recognise SDHC cards anymore (with Ubuntu 10.04 it did; same card, same
machine, Windows Vista works fine).

/var/log/syslog reports after inserting the card:
Oct 1 23:30:57 hermes kernel: [ 587.604396] sdhci: Switching to 1.8V
signalling voltage failed, retrying with S18R set to 0
Oct 1 23:31:07 hermes kernel: [ 597.632171] mmc0: Timeout waiting for
hardware interrupt.
Oct 1 23:31:17 hermes kernel: [ 607.648155] mmc0: Timeout waiting for
hardware interrupt.

No device /dev/mmc*

Booting with the SDHC card inserted does not help.

There seems to be a lot of similar (but not identical) bug reports...

Regards,
Oliver
