I've installed linux-crashdump and it seems to be running

$ cat /sys/kernel/kexec_crash_loaded
1

however I've tried the test crash with sysreq+c, the system crashes but
doesn't rebut (I waited a few minutes), and after finally power cycling
the machine I don't find anything in /var/crash/

Anyway. The freeze occurred again a couple of times and I observed that
the freeze is not sudden, there are a few seconds in which the system
responsiveness decreases (e.g., mouse becomes jerky) and then the freeze
occurs. In a few cases I actually manage to sysreq + REISUB work. Before
trying sysreq+REISUB, I did the sequence sysreq + 1 and sysreq + t two
or three times in the hope of logging something. I am now attaching
kern.log for the last time I did this procedure, it includes some trace
info that I hope will be useful. The meaningful log lines start at "Oct
2 13:46:32"

** Attachment added: "kern.log"
